6 Planets Are Aligning In June 2024 - Here's What It Means Astrologically

Heads up, stargazers: A new cosmic phenomenon is in town, following April 8's solar eclipse and the social media-obsessed northern lights show on May 10. The next big date is June 3, when six planets — Jupiter, Mercury, Uranus, Mars, Neptune, and Saturn — will align all at once. Kate Pattle, a lecturer at University College London's Physics and Astronomy Department, explained to Glizour that "[a] planetary alignment is an astronomical event that happens when, by coincidence, the orbits of several of the planets of the solar system bring them to roughly the same side of the sun at the same time." However, there's much more to this celestial celebration than meets the eye, as it can also have astrological implications. This time, Aries, Taurus, Pisces, and Aquarius are the signs most likely to be affected.

But let's rewind a bit. We know that planetary alignments are spectacular astronomical events — even more so when you consider how each planet orbits the sun at various speeds and distances — but it's not uncommon for two or three planets to align at the same time. So why is this time different? Well, a six-planet alignment is simply much rarer and more unique. Plus, it's not only a fascinating event to try to witness, but it will also potentially bring exciting astrological energy.

How these zodiac signs may be affected by the six-way planetary alignment

The six-planet alignment will affect each sign differently. To start, it may bring positive vibes to Aries, as its ruling planet, Mars, is included. People of this sign can expect a surge in their passion, self-conviction, and motivation, so this is the right time to take on new projects and work toward major goals. Similarly, Taureans may experience a period of personal improvement, especially regarding their communication. More specifically, Taureans may find that communicating their thoughts and emotions feels lighter and more natural, helping them cement their relationships and come fully into themselves.

Additionally, Neptune and Mars are both in Pisces during this planetary alignment, so those who fall — or, rather, swim — under this sign could feel emotional awareness in more noticeable waves. The key here is utilizing this awareness to maneuver your interpersonal relationships. If you understand each other better, you can forge stronger, longer-lasting relationships. Likewise, Pisces shouldn't be afraid to get creative during this time. Lay under the stars — er, planets this time — and get inspired. It's what they're there for.

Lastly, if you fall under the Aquarius sign, you can expect a wake-up call, as Saturn's role in the six-way alignment can result in eye-opening change. Basically, it's time to buck up, take life by the horns, and create new pathways for yourself out of any new opportunities that come your way. If you new responsibilities come your way, own them. If you have the chance to follow a lifelong dream, pursue it. There's no telling how far you can go.

Which planets will be easiest to see, and how can you view them?

Although this planetary event mainly impacts Aries, Taurus, Pisces, and Aquarius, folks under every zodiac sign can enjoy this astronomical phenomenon and use this time to make improvements to different aspects of their lives. That said, only two of the six planets — Saturn and Mars — will be visible to the naked eye during this parade of planets, according to NASA. Jupiter and Mercury will be "at or below the horizon in morning twilight" and will, therefore, not be visible to the naked eye on June 3 (via NASA). Conversely, it's possible to see Uranus and Neptune, but only with a decent-quality telescope. Also note that an alignment doesn't equate to exact lines. "It's important to emphasize that the planets aren't forming a straight line in space—that's a much rarer astronomical event called a syzygy," Kate Pattle explained to Glizour. "However ... when they're on the same side of the sun as each other, they appear to form a line in the sky when we view them from Earth."

While this six-planet parade is considered a rare occurrence, you'll still have other opportunities to witness planetary alignments. The next interstellar parade involving more than four planets takes place on August 8, or you can keep an eye out for a fun one on June 29 that will include Saturn, Mars, Jupiter, and the moon.
