How To Rock Chic, French-Girl-Inspired Bangs
Bangs Are Not DIY
You might be tempted to give yourself French-girl bangs at home, but a lot can go wrong with the DIY-method, so it’s best to go to a professional. Oftentimes, salons don't charge extra for cutting bangs with your regular cut, and may also offer free trims.
Apply Mousse To Wet Hair
If not styled properly, bangs can have a mind of their own and go off in different directions. Apply a small amount of mousse to damp hair, then blow dry with a brush to lay it evenly across the forehead.
Style With A Round Brush
To style your bangs, use a round, medium-sized brush, angle your hair away from your face, and blast it with a blow dryer. For added volume, pull your bangs toward the top of your head and blow dry until you get that trés chic French-girl look.
Curly Hair Bangs
Styling curly bangs requires some extra TLC to ensure they remain healthy-looking: don’t rub your hair with a towel and avoid regularly using heat on curly hair. It's best to style curly bangs wet — simply apply a bit of product onto your hair and manipulate the curls with your fingers.
Use Dry Shampoo
Bring life to your French-girl bangs with a hit of dry shampoo. Hold the product about 10 inches away from your hair and give your roots a good blast, allow the dry shampoo to sit for a few minutes, disperse it through your hair with your fingers, and you will look trés belle.
