However, her motive remains unknown, meaning it's unclear if she's distancing herself from her father amid Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's drawn-out divorce, which has been ongoing since 2016.
Shiloh has long established her own unique identity. In a 2010 interview with Vanity Fair, Angelina shared that Shiloh — who was 4 years old when the interview was published — has known what she's wanted from a young age. "She wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys' everything. She thinks she's one of the brothers," Angelina told the outlet. Her filing to change her name isn't even the first time she's toyed with renaming herself. Back in 2008, when Shiloh was 2 years old, Brad shared with Oprah Winfrey (via HuffPost), "She only wants to be called John. John or Peter. So it's a Peter Pan thing. So we've got to call her John."

In 2014, she attended the premiere of "Unbroken," a World War II-set film directed by Angelina Jolie, with her father, Brad Pitt, and brothers Maddox and Pax Jolie-Pitt. The then-8-year-old dressed in a black suit and tie with a white shirt under her jacket. Her short hair was slicked back to the side, and she accessorized with a single gold necklace. "My kids are all mixed with vintage ... We did all vintage and upcycled my old stuff," the "Salt" star told ET at the time. The then-15-year-old had grown her hair out and styled it in a ponytail. Shiloh twinned with her mom, who wore a slightly darker and strapless olive-colored gown.
Shiloh's next "Eternals" premiere in Rome featured a little black dress with yellow and black polka-dotted sneakers, while she donned a remix of Jolie's Christian Dior dress at the film's U.K. premiere. The long black and white dress had been shortened for Shiloh, and the straps were altered for a more streamlined look.
