9 Times Pamela Anderson Went Makeup-Free And Looked Flawless

Pamela Anderson was a symbol of beauty when she rose to fame in the early 1990s, and today, she's an even more important one. The actor and model has been praised for her looks throughout her career, and when she stopped wearing cosmetics in her mid-50s, she didn't even know that she started a movement of ditching the makeup, one that the entertainment industry desperately needed.

"I am much more comfortable in my own skin, but I also am in an industry that really focuses on beauty. And I thought, 'I'm going to challenge beauty,'" Anderson told Today in 2023. "I think challenging ourselves is what keeps us young and beautiful. And I think, really genuinely, beauty does come from within, and you don't have to play the game." While the star's decision came as a shock to many, Anderson revealed that a tragic moment caused it. Speaking to Elle, Anderson revealed that it was the passing of Alexis Vogel, her longtime makeup artist, that made her reconsider wearing it. "She was the best. And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it's just better for me not to wear makeup." Now, while Anderson still wears some subtle makeup every now and then, it seems as if the star has fully embraced showing off her real skin — freckles, fine lines, and all. And for that, we applaud her.

Once she arrived at the Vivienne Westwood Spring/Summer 2024 show during Paris Fashion Week, all eyes were on Pamela Anderson. The star rocked a gorgeous coat with a matching hat, and her natural face glowed with confidence. In an interview with People, Anderson admitted that she didn't expect everyone to catch on that she's bare-faced. "I'm makeup-free at home, so why not for Paris Fashion Week?" the star said. "I really didn't know anyone would notice it, but I'm glad it became a positive message." 

For the Victoria Beckham fashion show during Paris Fashion Week in the fall of 2023, Pamela Anderson decided to go with an abstract-patterned dress while accessorizing with freckles and her natural skin. "My name gives [even] me a false impression of myself. Without context, my name [suggests] a wrong image," Anderson admitted to Allure in 2024, adding that deciding to show her bare face more often is "not just about makeup, taking off the mask." Instead, it's about showing the world who she is and how she can help.

In 2023, Pamela Anderson attended The Row Paris Fashion Week show in perhaps her most memorable Fashion Week look — an androgynous pantsuit with a waistcoat paired with her beautiful makeup-free face. "At fashion week, I did that for myself," Anderson revealed to Allure. "It wasn't to make a political statement, I just wanted to have my little weird face sticking out of the top of those great clothes." And even though she wasn't trying to make a statement, she surely did.

For the Isabel Marant show at Paris Fashion Week, Pamela Anderson decided to opt for a bright yellow dress, and frankly — makeup would have only taken away the attention from its beauty. As always, the star's biggest accessory was her gorgeous smile, one that certainly looked much more genuine with her soft facial features and glowy skin.
